Fresh and new...and the same.

February 29, 2004

I just finished reading The Lord of the Rings, in its 1500 page entirity, for the second time. I have that familiar feeling of loss and accomplishment one gets after enduring such a gut wrenching act of Tolkein. I miss it, but I'm glad as hell it's over(again). Hey, at least Return of the King will be in theatres for a few months to come, and I still have 2 family members left who have yet to see it.
Anywhose, I've stopped smoking for the 111th time, and it feels nice ( that is if your idea of nice is imagining slaughtering everyone you see in the course of your day). I'm undergoing the excrutiating task of purging my temple of all toxins, excluding beer, for at least 3 months. I'll have to get back to you on that one.

"In sorrow we must go, but not in despair. Behold! we are not bound forever to the circles of the world, and beyond them is more than memory."
